There’s the predictable and quite frankly, rather tedious row going on about it here. I heard a late night debate on the radio last night where they had a representative from some Christian group or other and a one of the atheist group who have arranged these posters (which by the way, I think are rather good). The Christian chap had obviously decided to adopt a ‘isn’t this rather hilarious’ condescending attitude to it, saying ‘the atheists don’t THINK there’s a God, well I KNOW there is’. Whatever.
The Head of the Philosophy Department (an American) thought it hilarious. She just asked me whether I retain my personal identity in the afterlife when I die. Apparently, like God, that’s a logical improbability. http://www.atheistcampaign.org/
The Shahada begins with the words, There is no god but God. I hear this at least two of the five prayer times a day from the mosque outside our house. Meanwhile, more god news http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7685254.stm
